The RED arrow hand is for setting the time.

The LOWER CROWN is for setting the time.
TIP - Setting The Alarm for Maximum Duration: AFTER you've set the alarm to the desired time, push the crown back in. Then, continue to wind the crown upwards gently [away from yourself] until it can no longer be wound. Once you reach that point, do NOT wind further. Instead, wind the upper crown backwards (towards yourself] two revolutions. You do this so that the mechanism is not OVER WOUND - which is not suggested for the watch. Later, when the alarm sounds, it will sound for the maximum length of time possible. IMPORTANT: --
Adjust the alarm and time before winding either the upper or lower crown.
ADDITIONAL TIPS: 1. As we all know, mechanical watches do not have batteries inside. Therefore, if you are wearing the watch for the first time OR if you haven't worn the watch for some time and it has come to a stop, we suggest that you wind the lower crown upwards [away from yourself] 10 times before putting it on. This gives your watch an extra power boost while it builds up its reserve power. For those wearers who can be inactive for a long period of time when wearing the watch, we suggest that you wind up the lower crown upwards [away from yourself] 10 times before putting on the watch for the day. 2. Allow yourself an adequate amount of time to familiarize yourself with the watch. Some mechanical watches require that you wind up the lower stem before putting on the watch for the day - especially if you take it off at night. |
