A drought can happen everywhere &#8230;any time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Having to deal with a lot of heat and Not getting enough liquid\u00a0 &#8211; that&#8217;s called a dry-spell.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The same can happen in <u>Business Life<\/u>.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>No prospects in the pipeline,<\/li>\n<li>no clients waiting to close,<\/li>\n<li>no new orders to write<\/li>\n<li>and not enough income to hold out for much longer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>All you want and urge for is a healthy stream of income!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As you know &#8211; we do not control the weather!<br \/>\nBut we can control certain outcomes in business.<\/p>\n<p>How do we do that?<br \/>\nWhat could possibly be the answer&#8230;?<\/p>\n<h2>Marketing!<\/h2>\n<p>Marketing consists &#8211; in the most simple definition &#8211; of four components.<br \/>\nThe Classic 4 P&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>1. Product<br \/>\n2. Price<br \/>\n3. Position\/Placement<br \/>\n4. Promotion<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s a little bit too abstract. Let&#8217;s dig in deeper.<\/p>\n<p>1. A product or service that customers want.<br \/>\n2. A price customers are willing to pay.<br \/>\n3. Offering the product\/service in a way and\/or place where customers can get it.<br \/>\n4. Ways to market, promote, advertise and sell the offer.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the 4P model has evolved and there are 5P models, even 7P models,<br \/>\nwith added terms like People, Packaging or Process.<\/p>\n<p>However, this alone doesn&#8217;t give us the necessary answer to our problem, does it?<\/p>\n<p>So, we better ask our selves:<br \/>\n<em>What exactly can cause the Sahara-like-drought effect?<\/em><br \/>\n<em>What is really lacking?<\/em><br \/>\n<em>What was the tipping point?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s take a closer look at the 4P&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>You do have a product\/service that customers want&#8230;<br \/>\nThe price is right too&#8230;<br \/>\nand most likely the way and place customers can get it didn&#8217;t change.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Which leave us to just one possibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; You did NOT do enough and in <u>the right way<\/u> your MARKETING No 4.<br \/>\n&#8211; Not told enough people about your products!<br \/>\n&#8211; Not enough people are aware of you AND your products!<br \/>\n&#8211; Not enough calls have been made to talk to prospects, leads, and customers.<br \/>\n&#8211; Not enough money has been spent to attract top customer and top talent.<br \/>\n&#8211; Not invested sufficient efforts in reactivating existing customer.<br \/>\n&#8230; just to name a few!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All this can easily be changed &#8211; and avoid the dry-spell or shorten its time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Communicate &#8211; Promote &#8211; Do your Marketing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Wish you all the success for your business.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"socialpilot-extension-hover-button\" style=\"cursor: pointer; display: none;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/1609a4b1-243c-464d-b31b-8490a0e8c898\/icons\/share_image.png?w=640\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Your mouth is sooo dry you can&#8217;t swallow.
